This assignment called for us to mix a water color wash with our previous 8.5X11 ink drawing. I choose yellow for the body of the fish and contrasted it with a red-orange backround.

For this assignment we were told to use line art to create 10 drawing of objects we see everyday. I choose mostly metallic or plastic objects to avoid to difficult of a texture. This allowed me to really experiment with line weight and strokes. Coming soon will be a larger drawing of two objects chosen by my professor.
Following the ten 8.5 X 5.5 drawings are next assignment was to take on of the techniques and blow it up to an 8.5X11 drawing. I used a prisma color marker for the larger circles and a sharpie fine tip marker for the detail. I like the free flow of the circles and hoped that it gave the over all illustration a loose feel as if the fish is swimming.
For this assignment we were told to use line art and create 10 different pieces of the same self taken photo. I choose a picture of my fish, toulouse, in his fish bowl. I found it is aesthetically pleasing to use curvilinear lines rather than rectilinear since there is so much flow. I did also use a cross hatching technique, however i feel it was only successful on the rocks and not the fish.
