For this piece we were told to promote the society of illustrators by creating a poster/ self-mailer. I found this illustration by Guy Porfiro of a horse and jockey with vibrant colors. Inspired by this illustration i decided to go with an upbeat/ elegant Kentucky Derby feel. I am currently using a script font to deal with major headline. I want to play off the Kentucky Derby headline "mingle with the champions" where they use it for winning a race, I will use it for become a member of the finest (champion) illustrators
